Note: The Value Listed here is the possible Astromech Level and must be equal to your Droid Certification (possible vale 1-6) in your chosen pilot profession.

Important: The "Droid Interface" component is the 'gate-keeper' to droid-ship association. Without a droid interface component installed in a ship, you cannot associate any droid (or flight computer, depending on what the ship will accept) with that vessel.

You must use an Astromech R Unit for Jedi Starfighter, Z-95, Y-Wing and X-Wing and a Flight Computer for all other ships. In order to program your Flight Computer / Astromech you will also need an Unprogrammed Droid Command Module (for each command you want to upload in your Navsystem).

Example: Pilot X has gets a droid (or Flight Computer) with Droid Cert. 2 (see above list) and 6 Droid Command Modules, programs the Modules and loads them into the Astromech / Flight Computer. When he/she gains the 2nd tier on the astromech/computer line it is possible to use the next better Flight Computer / Astromech (Droid Cert. 3), however, you can also continue to use the lower cert. one.

Each Program has a certain Program Size;

Stablization / Mute Programs = 1 Program Size
Tier 1 = 5 Program Size
Tier 2 = 10 Program Size
Tier 3 = 20 Program Size
Tier 4 = 25 Program Size


Droida's Tip: If you need an R Unit type Astro Droid for your ship you can still use the Droid itself when you are not in space for other functions.
Flight Computers do not have any other function, but it is possible to assign one Flight Computer to more then one ship.
