Position cylinders are used by the Imperial Order, as they were during the days of Palpatine, to designate an officer's position in the Imperial Fleet. All  officers should use the 'Standard Naval Officer' cylinders, unless you are a High Command officer, or an assistant to a HC officer; in such cases, the cylinder colour  will reflect the Office to which you belong. For example, if you are an assistant to the Logistics Officer, your position cylinder would be of the color orange.
Imperial Order Battle Medals
Battle Medals are placed on the right side of your uniforms. Ribbons are to be placed on Standard issue uniforms, while the full size medal itself is displayed on Ceremonial uniforms. Battle Medals are issued upon completion and recognition of an IO battle. It is also possible for anyone who completed the Tie Fighter Missions to add the ribbons for Tie Fighter medals  on the standard dress uniforms. (Tie Fighter Medals 1-13)
