| The Map provides
a drag-and-drop method of setting all of the 3D points used by FGs, so
just click on a point and drag it to where you want it.
Large ships are shown either
as an icon or a wireframe (Toggle between them using CTRL-I.)
The wireframe will show the correct size and orientation of the craft.
To drag a wireframe click on the white dot which will show its centre.
Note there is only 1 craft
shown per FG.

| The Current
FG can be chosen either from the "Curr" Selection box at the top
of the window, or by clicking on its image or any of its WPs. The current
FG is then highlighted with a yellow box.
When moving from the Main
edit window to the Map, the current FG in the main window will become the
current FG in the Map, and vice versa. |
The basic toolbar controls

There are a couple of options
to control the way in which points can be dragged, which can help with
the alignment of different FGs:
Drag
Locks
These
control which co-ordinate of a WP can be adjusted while dragging it with
the mouse.
The
1
button will lock a FG's Start Point 1 only (the position of
its image) in both directions so that it cannot be moved at all. This is
useful when working only with other WPs and you want to be able to click
on icons to change the Current FG without accidentally moving its Start
position.
The X
button will lock the WP's current X co-ordinate so you can only drag it
straight up and down, and the Y button will
lock the Y co-ordinate so you can only drag it left and right.
Snap
When you drag a WP, the
placement will be limited to the selected increments. There are are separate
Snap values for X and Y movement.
