| WPs determine
where a FG begins the mission, which direction it is facing at the start
of the mission, and its flight path. XvtED's Map is designed to make setting
these WPs as easy as possible by linking them visually and providing some
additional information.

A FG's enabled WPs
are shown linked as follows:
There is a solid line
in IFF color from the FG's Start 1 position
to its WP 1. (Start points 2 to 4 will be
unlinked dots.) This will indicate the direction a ship will be facing
at the start of the mission (as shown by its wireframe.)
WPs
1 to 8 are joined by a dotted line in IFF color.
A white dashed
line will join the last enabled WP to the Hyperspace
point. |
Show WPs
These
buttons will show all enabled WPs for All craft or just the Current
craft. Release both buttons to hide WPs. |
Some useful information can
also be displayed at each WP. There are flags on the Options panel, or
use keyboard shortcuts to toggle them on/off:
D - Distance:
shows the total distance from Start point 1 to that WP.
T - Time:
Shows the ETA of a Craft at that Waypoint, taking into account its Speed
and throttle settings. |
