Requirements:

or XvT v1.1-4 & BoP v2.0 (BoP CD includes the patch)
A clean installation of the game with no other unofficial addons.

WARNINGS:
~ This is not an official patch, and is in no way supported by Lucasarts Entertainment Company or Totaly Games, use at your own risk.
~ Non US English versions are not fully tested, and a few files will be replaced with english text, effecting the whole games language.
~ Other mods are not supported and should not be installed before the ship patch is installed, a clean installation of the game is recomened.

This release is the 4th beta for Ship Patch 3.50. The only reason this release is beta is because I still want to put more into the patch, however its not possible to simply fix it with out increasing the size of a few areas of the exe file. This is possible however beyond my know how, I know some one who can do it but I promised not to use the work untill it was finished.

If LEC and TG wont provide patch support for their games some one has too. Expanding the exe and decompiling the program is a no-no in the license agreement, but I dont feel this to be altering the code just adding more variables into the game. It would be in LEC/TGs best intrest to patch the game again to add in the missing craft, as well as fix a hand full of bugs that would be easier for them to fix.

4th beta changes:
~ All changes are related to the installer, no new features. The rest of the cockpits might be added soon, but I will only add cockpits if there is an Identical XvT and BoP version.
~ Winzip would not always extract the empty files, so the installer will create the empty files while installing. This was preventing a lot of players from using the patch. Causing a lot of file not found errors.
~ The patch will turn ON when its done installing, preventing players asking me why the patch is not working. Common symptoms were the R-41 being the only new fighter flyable with a broken X-Wing cockpit.
~ While fixing the winzip but I noticed a BIG BUG in the main menu code, wich I think was the true culprit in the patch not installing on some computers, its amaizing it installed at all. :) Dont know how that one got by me.
~ This version of the installer should be way more freindly to those that do not have BoP but add it in later.
~ No more multitudes of "Press any key to continue..." messsages, I removed the ones that were only in for testing.

3rd beta changes:
~ Fixed introduction melee, calling for support will summon the correct teams support, as well as a few other craft later on.
~ Fixed XvT version of the R-41.

Primary changes from LEC version:
~ B-Wing cockpit and external added to XvT. Only usable/flyable in missions with B-Wing.
~ Tie Defender cockpit and external added to XvT and BoP. Only usable/flyable in missions with T/D.
~ Missile Boat cockpit and external added to XvT and BoP. Only usable/flyable in missions with MIS. 
~ T-Wing enabled with make shift cockpit.
~ R-41, Shuttle, Transport, enabled as flyable craft. No cockpits included because no one ever made one that worked in XvT and BoP that looked the same. These Crafts Cockpits can easily be added with out altering the .exe like the previous Ship Patch versions.
~ Tie New 1, Tie New 2, Bulk Barge, Millennium Falcon, each left open for a fighter.
~ Medium Transport, Modified Corvette, Modified Frigate, enabled/added for XvT, was already in BoP.
~ Passenger Liner, Carrack Cruiser, Light Calamari Cruiser, Scout Craft, added to XvT and BoP.
~ There are absolutely no changes in XvT or BoP to existing craft, like other copies of my patch have done.

Limitations/Disappointments:
~ B-Wing cockpit has a targeting bug, it don't light up green. A fix can be easily added later.
~ The craft are still only flyable in missions made for them... to fix this would require more work then its worth, but it is likely that if Ship Patch v4.00 is ever finished that this will be fixed then. For now I plan to just make a few clones of the existing XvT/BoP missions.
~ Was no room for the shipyard, Repair Yard, Gun Platform, or Modified Strike Cruiser in XvT.
~ The Super Star Destroyer in XvT does not work properly, and should not be used.
~ The CRAFT03 (Falcon) slot should not be used as a flyable craft, it will crash the game just trying to select it, this is likely fixable.

Cockpits:
All craft, excluding containers and stations, have been assigned a cockpit, so all craft should be flyable by the user. Not all craft will just simply work, I will not alter them so I did not bother to test fly them, it is not in my interests to fly a cap ship. It is NOT recommended to fly a craft other then a fighter, in most cases it causes unwanted effects in the game menus and engine, and in XvT/BoP the lasers usually either don't work or all fire from a single spot forward.
There are custom cockpits included for a couple of the ships that I did not make. I have tried to figure out who made the cockpits a few times, but I have not kept very good track of it. As far as I know they were made by: Satal and Marcos E. more cockpits will be added later.

OPT files:
I feel that TG/LEC should have included them in a patch of their own, and feel they are part of the game and see no reason not to include the XWCS opt files for use with XvT/BoP seeing as they are nearly the exact same format. It is likely they were suppose to be in the game any way. If LEC/TG has any objections to this or other parts of this patch, they need only to tell me to remove it. Others have said to remake the OPTs, something that looks exactly like their work is no better.

Adding Craft: (For OPT project)
There are 4 new open slots that can be used for ship set craft or testing your new OPT files. These slots are currently filled with a Tie Fighter OPT and cockpit.
To add a craft to one of the new slots you need only create an .opt file of the craft and name the file CRAFT00, CRAFT01, CRAFT02 or CRAFT03 with the extension .opt, and .int for the primary cockpit file.
The crafts stat zones can then be edited to reflect its speed strength etc.

Multi player compatibility:
Any thing that is different on your computer from the other players will NOT work in a multi player game. The only thing that the Ship Patch changes are things that XvT did not use before the Ship Patch was installed, so playing normal missions with players that are not using the ship patch will work fine, but the other players will have to also have the ship patch to use the new ships.
